Perhaps we should have a forum specifically for questions… Because I have a lot of them ?.
Here’s the first one – do any of you have experience with hamradioprep.com? I used the ARRL book and hamstudy.com to get my ticket, but I was really interested. I have 3, maybe 4 kids who would like to have license but I think an interactive program like hamradioprep.com would hold their attention better. It cost a little though. Might be worth it if 3 kids do it at once. Just wondered if anyone has tried it or has any other ideas on a dynamic study program. Thanks! -Chase KF0GFE

Emergency power night sounds great. And so does simplex and 440. I’ve actually never used 70cm.
You guys were talking about a website that a person could listen to hf frequencies, can you post that site? I also have an older short wave receiver that I got working a while back, but I don’t know any frequencies that are used. The receiver does not have scan or programmable presets. I hooked up a 30ft regular wire for an antenna and after turning the dial for 30 min I only found one station… Spanish speaking talk radio I think ?.

I haven’t been active on the net either. I’ll do better. I find myself at a loss for words while on the radio so perhaps a topic would be good.

Got it! The first time I logged in I couldn’t post. All I had to do was log out and back in again. I didn’t have to change my password. Thanks!
